PETER EGGERMONT

Peter Eggermont is a baritone singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Peter's voice is unique and striking, and he has had the pleasure of entertaining audiences for over 20 years. Peter performs as an original artist, as a member of creative ensembles, as a pianist and as a covers artist.

When songwriting Peter avoids cliché by playing with musical structures, utilising recognisable popular forms as vehicles to deliver cathartic messages. He lets the colour and shape of the idea lead him creatively as opposed to following any prerequisite trope of how popular music should be made. Combining all this into his music creates an aesthetic that can be obscure at times, and is yet uncannily familiar and comforting.

Peter has also written children's songs, scores for children's theatre, contemporary dance, audiobook soundtrack and more.

As a covers artist he performs a wide selection of songs from 'The Great American Songbook', mixed with recognisable hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and more.
